As many of you may know, music features heaving in our weekly activities. Whether it’s Philip playing, Sarah on her violin, singing with Carol or simply listening to the old vinyl records, music can soothe, stimulate and bring to mind long-forgotten memories.
The power of music, especially singing, can unlock memories and stimulate the brain and is an increasingly key feature of dementia care. It seems to reach parts of the damaged brain in ways other forms of communication cannot. So why not come and join your loved one and enjoy a sing song!
